Proposed referendums for consideration by the Wheatfield Town Board and Supervisor Bob Cliffe to be placed on the November 2010 ballot for the people of the Town of Wheatfield to decide:

1) Term limits for the four town council positions.  A Wheatfield resident may serve only two consecutive four year terms. After being out of public office for a period of one full, 4 year, term the candidate may run again for a council seat. Any sitting councilmen shall be considered serving one term, thereby able to run for one other term.

2) Extending the term of the Wheatfield Supervisor to four years.  Also, establishing term limits for the office of supervisor to two consecutive four year terms.  After being out of public office for a period of one full, 4 year, term the candidate may run for any Wheatfield elected position.

If concurring signatures of Wheatfield residents are required by the Wheatfield board please state, to me, the number of required signatures, the deadline date for signed forms and the place and location forms are to be delivered.

Thank you,

As proposed by Daniel Maerten on this date, Monday, July 12, 2010
