| 1. To design and implement plans that train, equip, and position emergency response agencies and the citizens of Western New York to effectively respond to any natural or man-made disaster and any homeland security threat. |
2. To maintain and enhance computerized criminal justice information systems within all Erie County criminal justice departments to improve enforcement, investigation, prosecution and offender supervision efforts. |
3. To continue the implementation of the Holding Center and Correctional Facility consolidation by improving coordination and efficiencies of services. |
| a. Coordinate planning activity through the Erie County Response Readiness Emergency Preparedness Team, whose efforts focus on public health, public information, emergency services, law enforcement and infrastructure protection, so that all relevant local, state and federal agencies cooperate in an integrated manner.
b. Focus on the development and implementation of projects such as the establishment of a Public Safety Campus, a countywide communications system, a public health biosurveillance and training center, and a regional information-sharing infrastructure.
c. Continue to seek funding sources at the state, federal and foundation level to finance these projects.

a. Complete the integrated countywide arrest booking/computer aided-dispatch/records management system through the Department of Central Police Services that will serve local law enforcement agencies.
b. Complete the developoment of a juvenile offendere information system to integrate and share data between the Courts, Juvenile Detention, Probation Department, and local law enforcement agencies.
c. Implement new case tracking software in the District Attorney's office.

a. To update the facilities' management information system to a fully networked system between the Holding Center and Correctional Facility.
b. To reduce staffing and overtime cost by eliminating overlapping and duplicative posts and by streamlining management and supervision.
c. To consolidate administrative personnel, payroll and accounting functions.
